My after-thoughts of this Israel Trip 2008: Grace Janice Tseng |
Long since this trip has begun, my family was involved in a few attacks already... first of all, my dad went into the hospital and was diagnosed with cancer & was told that he only had 2 days to live !! But our Lord is an awesome God, my dad is still recovering from his operation and he is still alive !! Our enemy was trying to steal my joy and peace before this trip even started !! Then my nephew was burnt by boiling water, but now he is doing ok. My mom's right arm was terribly painful, but now she is recovering and the pain is not as severe as before. Just before our plane landed on Israel soil, my inner man felt a deep pain and sorrow and I suddenly felt an unknown kind of heavy pain and sorrow for this country. As the days went by, I remembered the night before the Via Dolorosa ( Way of Suffering), I had my left ankle slightly twisted and I prayed and asked the Lord to heal me. The next morning when I woke up, the pain was still there and I wondered why the Lord didn't heal me, the small faith silly me yet again forgot that our gracious Lord is a Healing God and indeed He is the best Physician and guess what?..... The Lord healed me AS I WAS WALKING the Via Dolorosa !! Every step that I took, every stop that I stopped, HE WAS THERE....gradually healing me.... just to remind me that HE LOVES ME ALL THE TIME and that HE NEVER ABANDONS ME and that HE NEVER IGNORES MY EVERY PRAYER BIG OR SMALL !!! After we finished the Via Dolorosa, my pain was TOTALLY GONE !! =) I wish every believer will at least go to visit the Holy Land once in their life time and that every believer will learn the need to pray for Israel and her people. It's been a really meaningful and a richly blessed trip for me in this tour. Thank you Karen, Galina and every member on the board to have organized such a good trip for us all. You have been taking very good care to each one of us and may the Lord bless and keep you always !! Blessings, |
