I prayed for Jerusalem with tears in Dominus Flevit: Galina |
This was my second visit to Dominus Flevit Chapel (主哭耶京堂). I did not think I would again get the sorrow feeling like I did when I visited it the first time. When I saw the gate to the Dominus Flevit Chapel premise was closed for lunch time, I thought to myself we had bad timing. But then, praise the Lord, we finally got in - but were only allowed to stay there for 15 mintues. How can we do anything with just 15 minutes? After some quick sharing and praying, we spent the last 5 minutes quiet time. Then there came the loud M people worship hymn. I was terribly annoyed, for it interrupted my devotional moments. Finally, the hymn stopped, then I thought, this is horrible attack from Satan, and I resumed to pray. Suddenly tears got running from my eyes, I wept. I knew this had nothing to do with my personal feeling or emotion – as I was still annoyed over the earlier distraction. I knew this deep painful feeling was from our Lord. God wants more and more of His people to feel the exact same sorrow when visiting Jerusalem and therefore, inside us, we will always have urge to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Note: we could go to Dominus Flevit again on next day |
